Always wondered why we can't virtualize VRAM like how we did for VMs.

Anybody interested in software for cloud+local(spare android phone/computer) video storage for their WiFi cameras?

If you're in the same boat as me & don't want to pay high premium for a basic VM w/ storage that can just record the RTSP stream while also storing the same locally in case of network failure etc, then do ping me & I can get to work on it!

Another gripe of mine is that most of them nowadays need you to use their mobile app instead of any browser on the same network for setting it up.....smh

They should stop backward compatibility beyond a certain point. Just converge at USB 5. Any updates should be directly to 6 or whatever.

Unless you are fine with paying again for a windows license & sub 10hr battery life, I'd recommend any of the Zephyrus lineup with Ryzen & Nvidia gpu if your workflow can make use of CUDA or else AMD GPU for cheaper & decent battery life, performance/$ as well.

Try reaching out to their Developer Advocates on twitter & then maybe with any luck a 'person' can look into this.

My idea was to simply have the phone screen off, one always running app tapping into the RTSP stream on WiFi then offload it every few minutes. Could have a smart power supply hooked up to drain the battery to low digits every now & then. Smart batteries with programmable functions & voltages would have been a boon for so many legacy electronics

Yeah, I've seen a few TP4056 charging boards with Type-C as well. Will try retro-fitting them into my Crusher Wireless.

I don't mind them as long as the weight is balanced out with clamping force or higher up the band. There's even smaller sized cells which go into electric toothbrushes as well. The point is to have cells that can be sourced easily & replaced without much fuss which these LiPo packs do not enable.

I just wanted to be able to use 18650 cells in my headphones & never worry about battery life.

Not a single website is enabled for notification apart from IM like whatsapp/telegram. Only if it is needed for work but for random ones/ecommerce never

Wonder whether the government of India makes any demarcation between corporate VPN or personal VPNs? Or is it just consumer VPN services that need to comply.

This was literally what used to happen pre-pandemic as well with international teams. The pandemic just made people realize how weird it was for work to be associated with a place.
