D-Coder··on Tesla changes meaning of 'Full Self-Driving', gives up on promise of autonomy
> $200 is still a lot when a bunch of cameras cost maybe $20.

Anything except the lowest end car will cost $20K or more, so $200 is one percent of that price.

D-Coder··on Kenvue stock drops on report RFK Jr will link autism to Tylenol during pregnancy
> “Nobody knew autism was so complicated.” — future Trump, probably.

Need to reset the global variables.

But at least you've learned to sweep the next ones under a rug!

"Nonoptimal" is my preference.
D-Coder··on Did California's fast food minimum wage reduce employment?
> There are nearby towns with housing that is substantially cheaper

Someone who doesn't have a job can't afford "substantially cheaper" housing anyway.

D-Coder··on North Korea sent him abroad to be a secret IT worker
It's a threat. It doesn't have to be perfect. If the citizen does have a family or descendants, it will have a significant effective rate.
D-Coder··on Trump orders firing of labor stats chief after data showed jobs growth slowed
Large corporations can report their numbers quickly. Little companies don't.

In this case, large corporations weren't hurt as much, little companies were hurt a lot more.

So the reports of bad news came in late.

D-Coder··on The Biggest Passenger Planes Keep Breaking Down
This article is almost entirely about the A380.
D-Coder··on Man wearing metallic necklace dies after being sucked into MRI machine
Depends on the temperature. If I had burned myself 500 times, I think I'd learn and turn down the temperature.

Note that both customers and store managers had complained many times.

D-Coder··on Man wearing metallic necklace dies after being sucked into MRI machine
> The dangers of... hot coffee?

I don't expect hot coffee to put me in the hospital needing skin grafts.

D-Coder··on Adblockers stop publishers serving ads to (or even seeing) 1B web users
I wish the article had listed some of the adblocking software so I can be sure to avoid it.

D-Coder··on Solar power has begun to transform the world’s energy system

Selection bias. Lots of other companies did borderline illegal or fully illegal things and they are gone: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_corporate_collapses_an... (although many of these are incompetence collapses).
D-Coder··on A new law in Sweden makes it illegal to buy custom adult content
It would be interesting to see what lawmakers do to "protect" sex workers if sex workers start buying custom content from each other.

I had the same reaction when I had a will made. "If this case, do this; if that case, do that; otherwise do such-and-such"...

Although without the timing conflicts. :-)

D-Coder··on Show HN: Most users won't report bugs unless you make it stupidly easy
> I would expect someone to copy/paste the error message.

If you're talking about non-technical users, they (a) don't even think of copying the error message, (b) don't know how to copy the error message, and (if the error message isn't directly copyable) (c) have no idea how to do a screenshot.
