Coxa··on PostgresJs: PostgreSQL client for Node.js and Deno
Super happy user of this [1] it's rather minimalistic but great.

Coxa··on Show HN: Offline voice messages transcription in Signal Desktop
This is such a neat solution to a problem I am facing every day. Especially in an office environment it's simply not feasible to listen to voice messages. What ends up happening is that they simply get burried under all the "normal" messages and forgotten.
Coxa··on Ask HN: Those making $500/month on side projects in 2022 – Show and tell
I am currently at around $300/mo so still a bit off the $500 unfortunately. My side project, ErgStudio[0], allows people to use their rowing machine to do remote workouts together. I had the idea already a while before the pandemic started but when it hit I finally pushed myself to implement a MVP. My wife helped a lot doing the admin and as a photographer (we took all the promotion pictures ourselves to save money). This was also the first project for me which I took from greenfield to people-can-pay-for-this, which I am pretty thrilled about. At the moment, a bunch of university clubs in the US and smaller rowing clubs in Europe are using it. As a gimmick, when you see the meters rowed counter changing on the website, someone is actually working out somewhere in the world, using our app.

Coxa··on Restic – Backups Done Right
How does this compare to Borg, which I am currently quite happy with.
Coxa··on Prisma – ORM for Node.js and TypeScript
Have been experimenting with mammoth [1] for postgresql and am quite happy with how close it is to actual SQL.

Coxa··on Ask HN: Side projects that are making money, but you'd not talk about them?
Do you have any experience with the marketing part? I am kinda in the same situation but have no clue how marketing works and was wondering if you could share any insights.
Coxa··on Launch HN: PostHog (YC W20) – open-source product analytics
Your sign-up page seems broken [1] on my Firefox.

Coxa··on Ask HN: Is Let's Encrypt the new swiss crypto ag?
In an ideal world I would say you're right. In practice they don't even know who they trust.
Coxa··on Ask HN: Is Let's Encrypt the new swiss crypto ag?
Because I want to use LE and not other CAs.
Coxa··on Ask HN: Is Let's Encrypt the new swiss crypto ag?
Seems like this is currently disabled in Firefox [1]. Do you have any sources for Safari or MS Edge?

Coxa··on Ask HN: Is Let's Encrypt the new swiss crypto ag?
From my understanding of the certificate transparency program does not mitigate the threat of them simply not disclosing a certificate they signed. Ultimately this still gives them MitM capabilities as long as they control the traffic or am I mistaken?
Coxa··on Firefox 71: A year-end arrival
> The Network panel has a new Messages tab. You can observe all messages sent and received through a WebSocket connection.

This is awesome. Definitely a feature that separated FF from Chrome DevTools

Coxa··on Longevity Linked to Proteins That Calm Overexcited Neurons
Do you have a citation for the formerly same life expectancy in men and women. I cannot find any.
Coxa··on Show HN: A small bootstrapped independent VPN company in the Netherlands
As I see it, many main stream users use such a service to avoid geo blocking. Which is a feature you call teleporting. How do you plan to resolve the problem of Netflix/Amazon Prime blacklisting your VPN servers' IPs? Obviously this is part of your product as you list it as a feature. Hence, people might argue that your product is faulty and ask you to return their money.
Coxa··on Draw.io: Online Diagramming Website
My dissertation would be half as pretty without it.
Coxa··on Basic Electron Framework Exploitation
This literally made my day.
Coxa··on End-to-end encryption does not prevent Facebook from accessing WhatsApp chats
There's a difference between a potential backdoor and a bug. While a lot of eyeballs might oversee a bug, you have to make an effort to design your backdoor to go unnoticed.
Coxa··on Why Can't Everyone Do the 'Asian Squat'?
I was more like a by product for me. I started rowing 3 years ago and was really surprised how flexible I got by now. I always struggled doing the asian squat ... but not anymore.

Coxa··on Ask HN: What is the best language to write a REST back end in?
How do you feel about nodejs in terms of scale and speed?
Coxa··on Ask HN: What is the best language to write a REST back end in?
I was mainly wondering whether to use Go or nodejs as backend. Any suggestions regarding scalability and performance?
Coxa··on Ask HN: What is the best language to write a REST back end in?
What's the advantage against for instance expressjs?
Coxa··on I've Just Liberated My Modules
Check your project for these liberated modules using (yay) this module https://www.npmjs.com/package/affected
Coxa··on Ask HN: What software do you use that you wish it had a pretty web dashboard?
I have been working in such a thing for a openvpn server. (https://github.com/AuspeXeu/openvpn-status) but it's fast from feature complete. one could think of actually storing a history, adding capabilities to generate client configurations over the web interface etc.
Coxa··on Open source software for developing world hospitals
Just after a first glance this looks really interesting! Brilliant idea.
Coxa··on Virus warning when trying to download putty
That's all I get when I press download on the official putty website. I have sophos endpoint security and control, version 10.3 installed.
Coxa··on When Phone Encryption Blocks Justice
I could not agree more. Exactly my thoughts after having read the article!
Coxa··on Show HN: Messenger.com Native
This is just the source code from messenger.com plugged into a node-webkit and in no way "native".
