Cantinflas··on Spain orders blocks on Archive.today and its mirrors
"but when you were affected, you wrote a complaint that the website been collaterally blocked, and the next time they did the "match blocks", the website was no longer blocked."

Care to elaborate? They block by IP, that's not granular at all. What complaint mechanisms are you talking about?

Cantinflas··on METR and Redwood Offer Holy %^ Postmortem of the HuggingFace Hack
No air gap, no data diodes, no visibility... OpenAI should fire lots of people over this. HF should sue them. This is pure negligence.

That's a very narrow view. If anyone could vibe code their printer drivers, maybe free software wouldn't have existed, because it would not have been needed in the first place.
Cantinflas··on Postmortem for Kernel Soundness Bug #14576
As claude would say, "relatively" is carrying a lot of weight in that frase. Definitely load-bearing — would not pass a quick smoke test.

Cantinflas··on Relicensing with AI-Assisted Rewrite
It doesn't matter any more! Software is a (very cheap) commodity now.
Cantinflas··on Relicensing with AI-Assisted Rewrite
"If “AI-rewriting” is accepted as a valid way to change licenses, it represents the end of Copyleft. "

Software in the AI era is not that important.

Copyleft has already won, you can have new code in 40 seconds for $0.70 worth of tokens.

Cantinflas··on I have recordings proving Coinbase knew about breach months before disclosure
Yeah this is very confusing for me too, how could the attackers create a valid DKIM signature for coinbase.com? Either there is a huge misconfiguration or it's not possible. Am I missing something?

Cantinflas··on Why should I care what color the bikeshed is? (1999)

If you do that, you'd do me a favour.

Cantinflas··on Chain of Recursive Thoughts: Make AI think harder by making it argue with itself
Why is it so hard to believe that a complex neural network can think? You literally have one over your shoulders that does exactly that.
Cantinflas··on Stoicism's appeal to the rich and powerful (2019)
Imo 1) and 3) make little sense, e.g. no one learns anything from a toddler dying from cancer, and no "freedom" caused it. 2) looks more interesting, although I'm not sure I understand it
