I was exactly the same. As soon as I read that hyperbole I immediately closed the page. You’re either dishonest or perform terrible tests which means I’m not going to trust much else of what you write on your landing page.
I kept my old number and switched it to a provider that offered a yearly prepaid plan with an eSIM. $20 a year and I can keep my old number and switch to it as an active sim to receive a 2FA whenever necessary. I agree to always using 2FA via TOTP however.
Others have already spoken about this amazing achievement so I’m not going to repeat it, but I will say that the flashing cursor animation in the nav bar is horribly distracting whilst reading, if author reads this, please consider removing it.
Every time I set up a new slack account I set my status to appear offline. In the same way that I don’t want others to change their behaviour whether I’m typing or not, I don’t want someone to message or not message me based on an indicator which isn’t always accurate.
I agree that I think the cost may be worth it. I am a little disappointed that they want to link private searches to an account (which I think they’ll eventually change based on the user feedback they’ll receive).
It is interesting though because I share the same thought where something physically tangible like a gym membership can be quadruple the price of monthly subscribed software but the other way round and I’m surprised.
