Specially if you're moving around a big city(or silicon valley).

Before start to search for a job in europe you must decide WHERE you want go. Europe is a bit different from America...we're a union but every country has his own immigration rules and culture.
You are ok with the cold and snow of denmark ? or you prefer the sun ? you know spanish(this could help a bit to learn portuguese quickly)
Btw isn't very diffucult for an american that has lived and workex in silicon valley find a job here(see the HN job offers thread)
Wish you the best.
Learn to program and do it yourself if you don't find a library/gem. THIS is the solution (anyway in any platform/framework you'll have the 'main' libraries/gems updated...)
Stuck with what you know better and hack a product.
If you use some include() in php, you can avoid long php/html pages...
What I really miss is that was very fast "GET SHIT DONE" with PHP.
(in php/asp.net/python you should write something in backend for serve javascript responses as is it in rails with files .js.erb)
Maybe wasn't the best solution but it worked...and was fast too.
For example I don't understand why companies like airbnb (I understand for uber instead) need microservices...it's just a frontend app + backend + api. This can(could) be an single app.
