Brainspackle··on Devtools must be open source
You don't need to use the LLM integration at all if you choose not to and even without it, it's a lovely service.

I've used the LLM only a few times to make a few sysadmin tasks easier that I could have easily done myself.

Brainspackle··on Devtools must be open source
exe.dev has quickly become my platform of choice for hosting, testing, playing and tinkering. I haven't had this much fun playing with a providers offerings since VMs were a new thing. You have no idea what you're talking about here and should do a little research on them first. What you are saying they are, is not that.

Brainspackle··on Launch HN: Manufact (YC S25) – MCP Cloud
Having to sign up to browse available MCPs stopped me dead in my tracks and made me close the tab. I won't be the only one. Perhaps consider allowing people to browse more of the site before you try to force a signup on them?

Brainspackle··on Passing of Joe Mancuso
I am just hearing of Masonite through this post, unfortunately (RIP Joe.) Now I am interested in it for a personal project I've been thinking of. Will development continue for this and are all the pieces in place to keep this project alive or will it fade to dust now?

I am wondering this too!

EDIT: Did some research and looks like it is different code by different developers, so we should be good.

Brainspackle··on Did too many games release in Q3 of 2024?
Couldn't tell ya. I'm still playing games from 2019. With so many game releases nowadays, I have the patience to wait for a good sale to pick up anything new. The only game I've bought on release in the past few years is Baldurs Gate III
Brainspackle··on Open-TV: Ultra-fast, simple and powerful cross-platform IPTV app

Brainspackle··on Ask HN: I want to create IMDB for open source projects
This was my first thought. With projects like the "awesome lists of..." stuff too, I feel those do a pretty good job of distilling the more popular or in demand projects to browse through. Then you've got places popping up around those, like https://selfh.st/apps/ (which I just discovered via HN a week or two ago)
