BostX··on Show HN: Untrusted, a JavaScript adventure game you play by modifying its source
In level 10 ambush I set

        function (me) {}
for the red and yellow drones and

        function (me) {
            var r = 'right:'+me.canMove('right');
            var l = 'left: '+me.canMove('left')
            alert(r+'; '+l);
        }
for the green drones. But I always get 'right:true; left: true'. WTFFFFFF? :-( Please please fix that, please!!!

Neo: What are you trying to tell me? That I can dodge bullets? Morpheus: No, Neo. I'm trying to tell you that when you're ready, you won't have to. :)

> Poaching the lead dev to work on your own fork is a hostile move

That's an argument one can use when asked to spend more time with kids.

> it provides a reasonable excuse for the delays, since nobody was able to take his succession immediately

Huh?!? Open Source model not working or what?

BostX··on The myth of NASA's expensive space pens
Water landing means that the spacecraft is limited to a certain volume/mass ratio in order to float (preferably not upside down), withstand some waves, under/over pressure and 'salty water conduct electricity' problems etc. or alternatively turn to a submarine. I doubt water landing is so much easier than ground landing. And what you gonna do in case of crash-landing or some hull cracks?
BostX··on The myth of NASA's expensive space pens
I can imagine Russians let the Americans invent the pen and then just stole it. Total costs much much smaller anyway :)
BostX··on My Friends and I Bought an Island
Property is an illusion. Still confused?
BostX··on My Friends and I Bought an Island
> Having a really sovereign country is kind of difficult.

No it isn't. All you need is a nuclear missile and you can tell anybody, including US President to piss off. And they will do it. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Korea for details.

BostX··on Vim Splits – Move Faster and More Naturally
I use Alt-numpad keys. In my case it works quite fast:

    "  Decrease height / width
    nnoremap <A--> <C-W>-
    nnoremap <A-/> <C-W><
    " Increase height / width
    nnoremap <A-+> <C-W>+
    nnoremap <A-*> <C-W>>
BostX··on Vim Splits – Move Faster and More Naturally
I think I solved that problem quite elegantly :) However I still have a small TODO regarding printing from cygwin:

    set encoding=utf-8
    " TODO check if printing of utf-8 chars works with 'set fileencoding=utf-8'
    set fileencoding=utf-8

BostX··on Real time map of trains in Japan
Not true. Today morning "We appologize bla bla", last Saturday evening "We appologize bla bla aprox. delay 60 min". In the end it was about 120 min. In Germany trains do have delays a way TOO OFTEN.
BostX··on Chinese company uses leaked photos to copy, patent iPhone 5 design
Copyrights well... it's like you make up some deals (in your western family) and then you go somewhere else (to the east) and ask people there to live by your deals. Because you see yourself as the One everybody must follow. And it works as long as you have a (military) might to protect your interests. BTW this is the principle how any legal system works, all over the scale from a family law to international law. And now imagine yourself loosing that might: two lost wars, economic crisis... well, deals made up by clowns have never been taken seriously.
