Belopolye··on Google pulls up the ladder on open internet, pushes unconstitutional regulation
It looks like the direction we’re headed is a two-tiered Internet. The first layer will require your real world identity (more than simply your ISP knowing who you are because of billing) to access, post, download, upload, etc, which I suppose will first be required to access banking, social networks, etc, destroying anonymity.

The second will be more or less what we have now, but my fear is that access to this layer will be restricted further and further until it goes the way of Usenet and ISPs either willingly (or by regulation) turn off access to it.

Belopolye··on Google faces antitrust probe in Japan for pushing search default
Given that the Japanese legal system is notorious for only proceeding with charges when the police/prosecutors feel they have an open and shut case (99.8% conviction rate, if I remember), I think they have more to go off of in this case than they’re revealing now. Admittedly this isn’t a normal criminal case, but I’d still expect to see a similar situation here.
Belopolye··on A Brief Introduction to Military Pillboxes
It’s not commonly remembered that the Soviets, with Allied assistance, are who really won WW2- the Germans had something like 90% of their forces in the East.

Given the current war I’m unsurprised you’re getting downvotes for anything that may be understood as pro-Russian.

Don’t let the reality that this was in response to a statement that implied a universal reality that it’s impossible to raise a family on a single income be lost on you.

I’m the sole breadwinner, my wife and I have six kids, and I don’t make fantastic money for being a developer ($60,000/year- took a haircut for this role for the 100% work from home). We make it work.
