Interesting thesis, but I dont buy it. BTW, regarding the timing, I think Julian Jaynes would have a different thesis.
Normally this is a right to buy at a given price. If he was billed for it, then there is very little chance NVIDIA can weasel they way out ot it. I suspect he never paid for the shares.
"The man took the animal home, believing it to be a domestic breed. But after about a year of living with the clearly wild animal, he realized it would be better off at a sanctuary."
Wish there would be more information.
The not was not supposed to be there.
How does it sync via several computers?
So? Where are you based? For what class was the trademark filed? When was it filed?
I doubt that he has any leverage, but I don't know the background.
Look at your boss, his job is "gainful to him". He likely cheated in college and learned to delegate work and lead people.
And I just saw this: https://chatgpt.com/?temporary-chat=true
I read, IKEA first wanted to have them closed down, but then they realized, it does not matter why someone buys their stuff, as long as they buy it.
I like Ikea. I lived in so many countries, and it is an excellent place to buy furniture if you have to. But I consider it "throw away" furniture. Quality is okay or soso and it is unlikely to survive several moves.
If you can afford and have a place for long term. Buy better stuff. Used quality furniture, even antique, can be incredibly cheap.
I am not involved anymore in the project but in another project. But if it interests you, I can point you to the publications and company.

Anyway, this problem, to measure blood glucose non-invasive, is solved now. A product should be on the market very soon. And while I am not involved anymore, I once submitted an SBIR grant application to the NIH with this technology. A specific item that this technology used would be a few hundreds bucks if produced in quantities. I also wrote this in the grant application. The examiner googled this thing, and a top-notch single item for lab measurements was 50 grand. Obviously, too expensive. So the thing I learned:
An idiot and Google are a very dangerous combination. Even at the NIH.
PS: Neither the start-up, nor their technology is mentioned in the paper. All the mentioned technologies have been tried and are bound to fail in my opinion. At least the examiner gave me a very high score on "innovative".

"The desktop app is designed as a workspace for managing projects, working with files, using browser workflows, and running Codex alongside ChatGPT."
Not sure if I really understand this. And somehow I am worried about ChatGPT having access to my files and workflows. How much control do I have?
Not the sharpest minds. More bureaucratic than entrepreneurial. At the time, none of the C-suite had ever run their own company. Zero international experience. Complete mediocrity.
