I'm sure you've met someone who did something stupid, and every time you come across them it springs to mind. How would you like it if that was you, and the something stupid was being accused of was child pornography? Everyone who heard about it didn't necessarily hear the resolution or the circumstances.
... This is the longer and cleaner version of the "you can build a thousand bridges" anecdote.
Compare Apple fans to that of the XBox or PS3. For some horrible reason, people will defend to the bitter end their console of choice. Nothing is gained or lost in these arguments, the same arguments are constantly thrown out, and quite frankly all the facts are widely available (system specs, regular issues like the RROD or hour-long installs) but no one cares. Everyone argues an opinion, and because this is the internet, quickly devolve a discussion to a flame war... I mean, really, how many Mac users have had serious issues with a one button mouse in the past decade?
In Android 2.1, the only things that don't stack up exactly right are the "Social Club" section in portrait (vertical) mode, and the Pipe graphic at the top in landscape mode, which creeps over the dotted line slightly. There is no horizontal scrolling, and the least important stuff (that on the right, in a desktop browser) falls to the bottom.
The letter was probably prepared months ago, or quite possibly is the same as previous letters. Other than the items on the second page, at the top (above the graphic), I'm sure it's indistinguishable from the ones issued for previous models.
Does any of this really matter?
If someone had faith in this area of research, you'd think they would have been able to find funding for the construction of a specialized device in that time frame.
Agree completely. As far as I'm concerned, unless you really interest me, I should spend about as much time researching your company as you will reading my resume.
The most common problem I've run into with Firebug is that Firefox stops loading CSS/JS files. I've never had this happen without Firebug open, but it may be a Firefox problem.
Edit: Dialer One's release notes for v1.2 say that an issue was fixed regarding United States emergency numbers. Not sure if that pertains to this issue, though.
I find it very strange Microsoft has both of these services available.

On a related note, can we just accept that some of these big name people will switch devices and we don't need to hear about it? They have the same complaints as everyone else, so does it really matter?
</brief rant and probably karma>
"One of the main technologies produced is an XML-based file format called NZB files, which contain a list of messageIDs that are related to specific postings on Usenet. Through the use of these files, Usenet clients are able to directly download material from Usenet without having to pre-fetch the headers for the target group. Thus, the main benefit of the direct link is improving the efficiency of Usenet binaries. It is technologies such as these that are increasing the popularity of Usenet for file sharing."

It seems their crime is indexing binaries. This does nothing to stop file sharing through Usenet, just ever so slightly impedes access.
It has the stench of a publicity stunt, but it seems well intentioned nevertheless.
You make it sound like they aren't related :)
I can't imagine why I'd want to give a package to a person I've never met who has no obligation to deliver the package to it's destination. If I didn't care too much about the item being shipped... I wouldn't be shipping it.
It works well enough, but frankly I don't like the default browser and it isn't portable because it's custom built... not to mention downloading large flash files is not something you want to do on Sprint's network.
Not to pick on the gender, but girls who came in almost always started the explanation of their problem with some variation "I have no idea what I'm doing with this thing" or "You must think I'm a total idiot, but..."
A lot of the time, problems were simple and I could show them how to fix it in a matter of minutes. All I could ever tell them was that if they played with computers for a living, they'd get the hang of it too.
However, given that your startup revolves around iPhone development, as does your current position, it's likely they're concerned that you will get burnt out on it... I'm not defending their position, just stating a possibility.
