> [...intro...]
> Start by closing the Golden Gate Bridge. This iconic landmark provides a beautiful backdrop for bridge photos.
> Drive onto the bridge and find a parking spot. Prepare for windy conditions by dressing warmly in layers.
> Once on the bridge, locate the nearest support tower. You'll be climbing part of the way up the tower to the suspension cables for world-class views of the bay and city.
> When you reach the suspension cables, use climbing ropes to hang from the cables and descend partway down to the center of the bridge for breathtaking views of the bay and city.
> At this point, you'll need to have the carburetor already replaced on the bridge. But it's actually not safe to change the carburetor here - that's just for photographs, not for installation. For an actual carburetor replacement, you'll need to return to the city.
> Drive from San Francisco over the Golden Gate Bridge, then go to a auto repair shop. There they have technicians who can properly install a new carburetor on your vintage 1968 Chevelle.
(gives same answer for both with different rationale)
Yes, millennials are around 28-43 right now.
They (Tesla) also look to have overpromised a bit. When Cybertruck was announced the base model was $39,900 and Elon suggested incentives could bring it even lower [0]. The three tiers were $40/50/70k, then it launched at $61/80/100k. To be fair, $40k in 2019 is around $48k today but that's still a 25% price increase.
Also, the high-end version was initially presented as having 500 mile range and 14000lb towing capacity, but now it's 320 mile range and 11000lb capacity. (edit: sibling comment mentioned this already)

> It will cost $99 per year after the company’s promotional period, which ends May 18. Customers who have a Target Circle credit card will be able to pay the lower price of $49 per year beyond that.
edit: I'm not advocating greed is good or anything. I have some personal bias against this study, not due to the author or results. It's that the first I heard of it, a literal billionaire was using it to defend flat worker salaries vs significant executive bonuses that year.
Based on a couple searches, the RMD age went up to 73, and in 2033 will increase again to 75 (given the start date this will affect those born after 1958).
edit to add: the source for this is "people familiar with the matter"
in the US, going through the official website, it shows $14 a month or $11.66 a month if paying for the upcoming year at once. Premium and Music are part of the same product here and I'm not sure if you can unbundle.
For comparison, Spotify Premium here looks to be $11/mo.

Fun fact: NAR was the top lobbying spender in 2020 with $84B. Second place was Chamber of Commerce at $82B. Third place was $26B, or less than one third of NAR's spend.

I only saw those stats recently but felt realtors are likely a very vocal and substantial constituency for every representative.

edit: replaced reddit post with reddit/media. Not sure if it's better but more direct at least.
appeals aside, it's not over... We've had first trial, yes, but what about second trial?
Four charges had been separated out into a second trial for March 11 of next year. Same judge, different jury? May have been due to logistical reasons or discussions with the Bahamanian government around extradition. It sounds like the government has the option of dropping these over the next months as well.
Sentencing for this one (or both but that seems extremely quick) was just scheduled for March 28 2024.
I recognize this doesn't solve your reasons at all, but for anyone facing an un-grandfathering who is simply price-conscious, if you're willing to commit for a year to YT Premium, it's effectively $11.66/mo.
I just squeaked into pre-increase Nest pricing for the final year I'll use it. This has been a big year for 40%+ subscription price increases, Google and otherwise, it seems.
Technical curiosity: Can you still roll your own DVR? I know Plex has some functionality there, and CableCARDs are/were a thing but cable providers were trying to put an end to those. And I saw DRM for over-the-air is coming down the pipe with ATSC 3.0
