Why do you think you need a guide to go past a certain point? The only other country I know of where a guide is required is North Korea.
No offence to the author here but it reads like a wealthy WASP going to an “exotic” culture pointing out how “quaint” it is and how we can “learn so much” from their “way of living”.
My wife is back devouring cookies after being on mounjaro for 4 months. Thankfully she lost most weight all by herself so wasn’t totally reliant on the medication. But it’s crazy how noticeable the difference of one’s eating habits when on and off it.
It’s also convenient that Denmark is essentially the US’ eyes and ears in Europe, who even spied on other nations for them.
It’s pretty disappointing. It seems like a “trivial” task
It’s not about ethnicity though, it’s familial lineage. If your grandfather was Bangladeshi and moved to Ireland and was a citizen, then his descendants moved to the US, they would be entitled to Irish citizenship.
You just need to look at the countries that require a tourist(!) visa of Americans, the vast majority are irrelevant. I can't wait to go to Eritrea, too bad I need a visa :(
Tourism is not a big deal either, I think freedom to work/live is a much better metric, but obviously the USA is not great in that regard. The USA is the strongest passport because it is the only passport that allows permanent residency and/or visa free travel in the US, aside from Canada and a few billionaire tax haven islands or other stragglers.
>maybe even culturally
Yes, in my country young women have an American accent from watching TikTok.
Are we supposed to pretend that this is normal? Does anyone not feel like this push for AI is a last ditch effort to save the global stock market, that it MUST work out?
Note I’m not saying that Facebook don’t profit from being as ineffectual as possible, but ultimately that parents should know better.
There are all kinds of services that parents can use now to filter this even further than what was possible 10-15 years ago
Zuckerberg famously doesn’t (didn’t?) let his children use Facebook. Perhaps everyone else should take a hint.
Reddit is by far the worst though since everything is clearly botted yet people pretend it’s organic leading to a kind of false sense of security that what you see is curated and willed by the “people”.
It’s far more than “engagement” and the “algorithm” - it’s beyond that It’s all blatantly manufactured as some Aquino-esque psyop.
>the “demagogue” who allows free expression is more of a tyrant than a state who blocks wrongthink
Okay
