"COI uses an email address and any IMAP server as its infrastructure. This means it can already connect 3.8 billion users - anyone with an email address"
Email <> IMAP even though most email providers do provide access to IMAP, this is greatly oversimplified.
Fun to watch and a great build. Being one of the people who have loads of packets snatched by random bypassers due to shitty routines from parcel companies, it sucks to hear there are elements faked. Never the less, a nice build. If i can get the stl,I should rebuild it, and replace the spray with pepper-spray and proper spray-paint.
Feel free to correct me, but from memory they would be forced to stay within the <100mw range to comply with FCC in most parts of the world but with a directional antenna in both directions you can achive kms as long as no obsticles are presented.
I bought a product from Aliexpress (12 euro IoT wifi relay) which i later found in the exact same name and package on kickstarter for around 20 euros. I contacted kickstarter, who quite abruptly removed the kickstarter. If their only intentions were faul they would have let it be, but they actually did the right thing in this case. Just offering another perspective of their work.
Pump as much as you can into your retirement savings, where i live this has the highest return and makes sure whatever happens later, you are covered. I would also aim for low-risk/low-return saving fonds for your kids. Needless to say, retire and find something fulfilling to do with your remaining days. Like many other say, enjoy times with your kids.
Swedish person living in the netherlands for 12 years and i can only agree. Sweden is a emtionally cold country, and even though we have space that looks like it could invite to social behaviour, make no mistake about it, people will assume that you are after something/trying to mug them if you attempt on only being a tad social. I live in Amsterdam now which is a lot more open to chit-chat, but the Dutch live very much for them selves, are so tired of tourists that you really have to speak fluent Dutch to not be cosidered someone they will never see again.
Funny that their code of conduct contains all the standard equal rights no matter what XYZ, while this was never Linus problem. He never lashed out on people because of gender, race or sexual preference. It should simply have said "Don't be an elitistic assh*le aginst people just doing their best."
Interesting thread as Atlassian swings up their licenses costs every year, i am also looking to cut our costs. However finding something that integrates with Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo as well as confluence will never be possible. If anyone has suggestions to cheaper products that has those integrations (to some extent at least, or allows for the development of plugins that can do it) i would be super happy.
Wow, works in excel 2016 but i assume our GP/microsofts common sense flags a warning: "Remote data not accessible: To access this data Exel needs to start another application. Some legitimate applications on your computer could be used maliciously to spread viruses or damage your computer. Only click Yes if you trust the source of this workbook and you want to let the workbook start the application. Start application 'mspaint.exe'?"
At this point i am sure 50% of normal endusers would have stopped reading and just clicked Yes anyway. I also assume the command executed could have been a registry hack to disable this warning, allowing several more commands to be ran without popping this warning. Crazy stuff, but fun morning exercise.
Voting ballets in the netherlands are map-like large sheets with columns of names which you fill out behind a screen or on a table before being directed to a locked bin where you insert your folded sheet. In this way, the actual process of voting is over in the fraction of a second. You are not left alone with the bin at any time, and therefor can only effect your own vote, so it's hardly comparable to the electronic voting process of the states that use electronic voter.
Amazing work.. Love the lightsource following the projectile. Was the large pixels a compromize to keep the fps up? Anyway, amazing what you can do with 13k!
My first bike was CBR919RR, but i see where you are coming from. And the main goal is not using it as a drug, but as a means of transportation that gives you that little extra, something that makes you smile. But with this said, use the correct clothing and common sense. If you are an adrenaline junkie restrict your motorbiking to a track instead.
Like a few other mentioned, don't label your self as damaged and even avoid labling yourself by a prognos you might or might not have gotten. During my life i have seen quite a handful of people with rather small problems blowing them up into unreasonably large sandcastles that only prohibited further development and covered every bridge they wanted to pass.
Like many other here i loved computers as a kid but growing up making it my job made me lose that love, and i barelly hack software at home anymore. The reason i love being at work is because i have great coworkers, not that i burn for what i do. I bet a lot here can identify themselves with this here.
If i could just give you one advise, it would be:
Get a 1000cc superbike. I have a very short commute to work, but i only need to ride 5 minutes to come to work all pumped with adrenalin, which i replace with a coffeine-rush as i step in to the office. The rest of the day flows, and i can't wait to get back on my bike to go home. This might not be a one-size-fits-all-solution, but it's worth a try and a mention.
"What do you understand by CLI?".. Something about this question makes me question what they are expecting you to answer. Last sentance: "CLI is very easy to use, but it should be typed very precisely.".. First of CLI includes sh,ash, bash, ksh and all other command lines, all with a variaty of difficulty and their own querks. "CLI is very easy" depends on how well you know it, master it and obfuscate an operation in it. I am not sure what that question, or whatever answer you get out of it, would help you determain what a person actually know beside knowing the abriviation?
By the end he claims to have gotten a $250000 reward bvy facebook, which he has not claimed. Sounds to me like he has no intention of taking that reward, if true.
Yet another article not available in countries subject to GDPR, would be great to headline [US ONLY] for media not prepared to serve content to EU, much like the paywalled mentions.
Riding in the Netherlands with google maps and a scalaG9x and a android phone in the pocket works pretty okey. The few issues i have is bluetooth not being on continuesly, so as the phone starts giving a new direction, i might miss the first few words, but as i get closer to the exit and the second or third remind goes off, i tend to hear the full message. I am using english phone settings and language settings, and this unfortuatly means that every streetname in Dutch are pronounced in English, which give it a comic tone that sometimes takes a second to wrap my brain around. Other than this, traffic redirects due to congestion works like a charm. I also own a Garmin Zumo 220 which i had mounted on next to the speedo, but since you have to pay for updated maps after a year, this device is now collecting dust in favor of Google.
The key to x86 assembler/machine code was avoiding the software interupts as they were painfully slow. Sure, when you are dealing with a 512byte boot sector you are better of offloading as much code as you can to software interupts, but for everything else the battle was to come up with something faster than the software interupts.
In many cases some basic routines used in qbasic was actually faster than their counterparty interupts in asm. A grand example of this would be using mode 13h (320x200) and interupt 10 to set all pixels on a screen to a single color, which could take up to 2 seconds using machine code and bios interupts (as it verifies vertical and horizontal refresh prior to setting the pixel). Using interupts however is relativly painfree as the author pointed out.
Wow, 1673 cracked software, all with expired copyright. This is an amazing preservation achievement. Love the automation part and am a bit curious to how hard this would be to port to another 6502 machine (yes, c64)?
