I do not believe that is the purpose. I think the idea is to make it costly for Putin to go forward. Sadly this is at the cost of the well-being of the russian population.
Implying Putin held back for the sake of the ukranian people is misleading.
Providing Intel might leak information about it's sources yes, which is always a consideration. In the case of satellite pictures this could be, which satellites were in the correct positions in orbit and were used... but honestly I doubt the russian government is not aware of "most" of those satellites and "most" of their capabilities. I don't quite see your argument. The ties of those satellites to certain companies etc might make them targets for hacking and all that... so it's not risk free but I doubt it's a large risk.
While I understand the world view and it's utopian appeal. I believe what your youth might have been missing is an incentive to critically think and search for information that is not curated for you.
In the last decades there has been not much (imo) implying we are anywhere even heading towards such a society. I believe it can only be perceived that way if you omit the large parts of society and especially the world as a whole. Local things like changes in living standard for most of the population, crime rates, organized crime. International things like piracy, human trafficking, corruption in different parts of the world. If you look beyond a local bubble, there doesnt seem to be much implying much was heading towards a society you refer to.
I do not wish to imply you don't think critically, just that there are too many topics for anyone to inform themselves about all of them. At best we are aware of what we know more about and what we know less about.
Regarding critical thought:
While I believe it is important to teach youth about independant thought and critical thinking, I also want for young people to have a somewhat sheltered youth and not to worry about all the horrible things in the world. As so many things it's complicated.
When it comes to the middle east and further away places (geographically and culturally) the political willpower is often more oriented toward alliance contracts with other nations and idealogical reasoning... not perceived existential threat.
[edit] changed wording (socially -> culturally)
That assumes a lot of trust between all nations, their leaders and potential future leaders. A military alliance is just the manifestation of stronger bond between particular nations. With humans being the way they currently are I don't see this being realistic without larger societal changes around the world.
Regarding your comment "would much rather prefer fixing the UN, than joining the NATO". I don't understand how you can compare them. I see NATO as a military alliance and the UN as communication platform for countries (writing and voting on resolutions). I don't see where one can replace the other.
The difference I see with 3. is that people that might identify with this will try to challenge their views in ways that most people won't and in the process often realize how much of their views are based on belief. I disagree with the choice of the word "mystic" greatly because anyone religious, spiritual or not can fit this description. I'm not sure I agree with you on the being comfortable or not part. In my opinion challenging yourself on emotions and feeling comfortable and reflecting on that is a part of this too.
Regarding belief and challenging your views:
I believe the milky way is a spiral galaxy. I have not done mathematical calculations of the position of stars or the densities of light in the night time sky. Even if I had, these would only be indicators. So far I have only the words of others to base this belief on.
I was originally going to go with the example of the earth being round where my only own observation might be the curvature of the earth in an airplane. But I assumed for many this might push them into category 2. so I put it here to challenge those that read this far.
[edit/addition]: The examples are supposed to challenge what you consider absolute knowledge/truth and how close it might be to belief.
I think the political view in Australia has changed from "we don't have nuclear infrastructure" to "we can build up nuclear infrastructure while the US builds the subs"? This is just my assumption.
If I'm wrong on any of this please correct me.
This is interesting. Can you provide a little information on the context:
- what is the number of people you've encountered to form this opinion?
- Is this all in one region/sub-population or do you suspect socio-economic differences to play into this?
- less social pressure to get married than for my grandparents
- less financial incentive through tax benefits already applying if you live together here (to not prefer any religous belief system)

The development in recent years has been that a larger part of the population is finishing their "Abitur", which is the high school diploma equivilant, allowing them to apply to universities.
Often they don't feel like universities are the right place for them though and they apply to apprenticeships, which makes it harder for people who ended school after tenth grade to get apprenticeships. At least in certain fields like lab assistents, IT workers and some others. In other fields such carpentry, plumbers, ... I don't think the Abitur impacts the application process much and can even be seen as a negative.
Making this public helps to raise awareness for businesses to pay attention to their business processes in regards to payment release. I remember being told that the process of paying vendors is where the most fraud happens.
Here's what I've tried with a few variations: golang generics proposal, machine learning transformer, covid hospitalization germany

For me the problem of nuclear waste is a big factor in regard to my opinion of nuclear fission plants. I'm sure the designs are a lot safer nowadays and we don't have natural catastrophes that pose similar threats to these power plants here in central europe and yet I oppose them because of the nuclear waste.

[Edit]: In regard to coal - coal has been a large source of energy for Germany since the industrialization because we have access to it. Germany has been so dependant on it that in-case of being cut off from oil there are considerations to convert coal into gasoline. Because of this dependency it was subsidized for decades. It's not surprising that with wind energy having a low in 2021, coal is currently in first place again. The current goal seems to phase coal-power out by 2035-2038 which I hope will happen sooner rather than later.
I think the only reason the phasing-out of coal is actually happening in Germany is the prospect of less dependency on oil (with more electric vehicles on the horizon).
I can understand that in some cultures this might seem weird or antiquated but here in Germany these names are reality. Sometimes people with such names are descendents of royalty and sometimes someones last name "from family-name" is thier last name and happens to historically correspond to one of germany's state names or city names or just a little town.
One a side note: In Germany in 1919-1920 royalty was no longer a legal aspect that changed how laws applied to you[1]. When that happened titles that were reserved for ruling functions (king, grand duke) were removed and all other titles were moved to be part of the persons name (such as prince etc.) and could not be decreed on anyone new. These titles still exist in Germany but are simply naming "conventions" in a formerly royal family.

[edit] In Leonardo's case perhaps not but still i wish to elaborate a litte on the situation here.
The reality is most developers (almost every developer I know) won't spend particularly much time on deciding settings for encryption - and honestly if they spent 10x the amount they did doing research they would still only base their opinions on things they find online like blog posts (not mathematics or government whitepapers).
I don't believe the approach is bad. It doesn't take the ability away from you to choose. It just adds a hurdle (vendoring the library), which imo stops a lot of bad decisions from overconfident developers.

I don't wish to downplay risks involved but even if someone creates an intelligence that can outsmart them or a replicating system which they fear may over replicate the creator should be in control of enough of the environmental factors to keep it under control long enough to reduce their creations access to energy, resources. The real risk (from a perspective of self preservation) is not limiting their creation enough or overlooking sources of energy, information or whatever needs to be limited for this system.
When I was studying in Berlin the larger canteens had several different meals to choose from + salad and soups on any given day. Of those about half had meat in them (if my memory serves). I assume they want to reduce this number.
According to welt.de they want to reduce the meat and fish to about 4% of the food offered [1].
