Aisen8010··on C# 11 Preview Updates – Raw string literals, UTF-8 and more
C# In Depth is indeed a good read. Unfortunately, the C# language is getting more and more complex, especially when you compare it to Java.
Aisen8010··on Ask HN: Why is Hacker News so much more successful than Slashdot?
The many topics about Rust are annoying too. The activists and fanboys turn the discussions tiresome.
Aisen8010··on My Life as a Mentalist
The plot of the TV show was very interesting. Unfortunately the acting of some characters was subpar and there was too many seasons.
Aisen8010··on AMD Zen microarchitecture and Intel's Ocean Cove patent
Unfortunately the author chose to show his arguments in the Twitter. The subject is interesting, but I have a hard time following the discussion there.
Aisen8010··on The end of the nice GTK button
I would not be so sure. Sooner or later there will be a QT6 port and most of the work will be lost.

I was a happy GNOME user before the version 3 fiasco. It took years to have a usable GNOME desktop again.

Aisen8010··on Don't Use RAR
I remember downloading a torrent of winrar compressed in rar when I was younger. That troll gave me a good laugh.
Aisen8010··on What Fortran does better than C-like languages
The example 'exiting a nested loop' was weird. C has support to 'goto', C's version would look like the Fortran's code.
Aisen8010··on Tools to Download Netflix / Disney / Apple TV Content
Any suggestions for downloading the playlists from Spotify?
Aisen8010··on Don't spend 6mins doing it by hand when you can spend 6h failing to automate it
Did she tell what she was trying to automate?
Aisen8010··on Fedora 35
Thanks for sharing the noteworthy changes.

I'm not a fan of Fedora, I had a bad experience(many bugs) in the past. Nevertheless, it's a good distro to check out the newest Gnome.

Aisen8010··on Vivaldi Replaces Firefox as the Default Browser on Manjaro Linux Cinnamon
It's sad that the only point to keep using Firefox is because it is open source.

The Firefox's interface is getting worse and worse and it does not seem to be doing anything to protect the users privacy.

Aisen8010··on The fungal mind: on the evidence for mushroom intelligence
There's a very good documentary about the theme: "Fantastic Fungi". It exposes a theory that the trees can "talk" with it other through the the Fungi network.
Aisen8010··on Lambdas as values in Excel
They could have used some notation to separate the arguments from the function body. The arrow => would be a good candidate.
Aisen8010··on Carlos Ghosn: How I escaped Japan
It's very easy to say what Mr. Ghosn should have done in a retrospective analysis. Unfortunately, he didn't have a crystal ball.
Aisen8010··on Embedding Lisp in C++ – A Recipe
It's the first time that I see someone using left indentation for code.
Aisen8010··on The value of downvoting, or, how Hacker News gets it wrong (2009)
They are doing a pretty good keeping the spammers away, considering how easy it is to create a new account.
Aisen8010··on In Amsterdam, “gambiarra” is now a locally known industry term
Gambiarra is a Portuguese word for a fast/cheap solution without much care about the repercussions.
Aisen8010··on Ask HN: Is abuse from supervisors as common in industry as in academia?
That's the type of discussion/drama that I expect to see in Reddit, not in HN.
Aisen8010··on Firefox 85
Firefox without tabs in mobile is a no-go, especially in a tablet. They did not put too much thought into this interface.
