No, that's false. That's only true if you also assume that people write the same quality code whether there is a code review process or not. Which might or might not be true, no idea.
Yes, it does catch some, but does it catch more than no code review? There is no point in catching bugs if it also creates bugs to catch.
In fact I have seen alarmingly little research about code management. Code review, standup, agile, etc. does any of it do anything useful? I only came across anecdotal evidence which can be dismissed.
Not sure. I use git at work, but I would never use it for my solo projects. It just doesn't add anything I need, but it takes mental effort to manage it.
Waterproofing is possible right now and works for almost all normal use cases. No need to remove features.
What Apple is doing is definitely not for waterproofing.
My main issue with it is that if I disable cookies, then every single time I need to accept it. If I enable cookies then I only need to accept it one time. I think this annoying thing actually reduces security, because people are more likely to just not delete the cookies at the end of the session to avoid this annoying popup. Makes the web totally unusable if you delete the cookies regularly without a plugin to hide the cookie banner.
Just look at Intel right now, apologizing for not using slave labour...
