3lit3krew··on The art and engineering of Sega CD Silpheed
Agreed, the original is awful too.
3lit3krew··on Apple M4 Support Added to the LLVM Compiler, ARMv8.7
It's great that Apple has supported this compiler for so long. It's great for the Free Software world to have more than one compiler.
3lit3krew··on Roger Linn reviews MPC Live 2
It's not strange at all, Ableton sucks. Anyway the different MPCs are laid out slightly differently but so were Roger's. He will completely destroy the competition if he teams back up with Akai. This especially includes Ableton. Which sucks.
3lit3krew··on FTC sues Adobe for hiding fees and inhibiting cancellations
This is unfair to Adobe, if you can't take two minutes to learn the excruciatingly minute differences between Photoshop and GIMP, you deserve to pay the idiot fee.
3lit3krew··on BYD: China's electric vehicle powerhouse charges into Europe
With all the components for everything being made in China already, it's inevitable that they will just realize they can, themselves, assemble everything there with their own concerns. It's just the natural progression of moving the industry offshore. Western companies can still own the brand names and take a couple percent profit off them, the Kodak model.
3lit3krew··on Roger Linn reviews MPC Live 2
He pointed out that all the buttons and important controls are right where and how he designed them to be on his MPCs. He said they got the workflow and timing down perfectly. Did you watch the review?

A lot of musicians think Ableton kind of sucks.

3lit3krew··on Roger Linn reviews MPC Live 2
Ableton SUCKS. I think that's the thing that many people have decided. I think it sucks.
3lit3krew··on MicroMac, a Macintosh for under £5
I feel ya, it's tough now with some stuff. There is an old firewire to scsi adapter out ther, if you can find one it's $500+ now lol.
3lit3krew··on Mushroom hunters can't stop finding mysterious fungi
All are harmless, whether or not you would enjoy eating them is a totally different question.
3lit3krew··on Mushroom hunters can't stop finding mysterious fungi
I know the ones in the top pic. They're pretty rubbery and tasteless and harmless but you can boil them, then squeeze them, and boil them in sugar and make candies out of them.
3lit3krew··on AI in education may require us to return to 15th-century pedagogy
It was a downgrade from the cottage industry we had before big factories became the norm.
3lit3krew··on What do we want computers to do?
Didn't anybody ever watch Apple's Knowledge Navigator movie? Well now we're basically here. It's neat but the issue we have now is AI literally recommends killing yourself and making pizza with glue.

3lit3krew··on The 'Dead Internet Theory'
It's true and there's plenty of evidence for it. AI bots, people in boiler rooms, this is 90% of the Internet now.
3lit3krew··on Debian is the greatest Linux distro of them all
Debian's killer app is systemd. You know what I mean.
3lit3krew··on Microsoft will switch off Recall by default after security backlash
Not at first, anyway.
3lit3krew··on Elsevier embeds a hash in the PDF metadata that is unique for each download (2022)
Doesn't everybody publish their articles online now too?
3lit3krew··on Controversial pesticide research all but vanished from a major conference
Obviously nobody can trust The Science any more, too much big money involved. The best you can do is try to keep up with bro-science, which is often decades ahead of The Science, and avoid any new chemicals, food additives, drugs or therapies for several decades until we learn if they're really, actually safe or not by observing what happens to the guinea pigs called the general public. At this point we've all seen enough evidence to have destroyed either some, or all trust in The Science, anybody left using Science Juice or Science Gas or Science Pills either doesn't care, or wouldn't even if they knew.
3lit3krew··on Poland to boost cybersecurity after fake news attack
Weird, thanks.

3lit3krew··on Adobe Swears It's Not Training Its A.I. On Your Photoshops
Graphics software was solved decades ago, if graphics professionals can't move as comfortably between these alternatives as easily as a construction worker can move between two nearly identical hammers, they have a skill issue. Adobe users have some of the worst Stockholm Syndrome in the tech world, and they should be scorned and mocked the same as MS and Apple users. You'll eat what you're served. What are you going to do, take your business elsewhere?

It's time to move from coddling to tough love.

3lit3krew··on Ultrasonic investigations in shopping centres
Black sharpie and electrical tape. Never travel without them.
3lit3krew··on Senior employees, ordered back to the office, are jumping ship
It's easy and effective. What company or outfit do you work for, I can vet the board members or superior officers or agency supervisors for you. I have access to lots of data on lots of people.

EDIT: I'm completely serious, persona.

3lit3krew··on A cartoon cat has been vexing China's censors – now he says they are on his tail
X is much better than the alternatives, Musk is doing better things than Zucc has been.
3lit3krew··on Senior employees, ordered back to the office, are jumping ship
Conservatives rarely talk about such things, they're a type of center leftist. I think you meant to say right wingers or, as it's being spelled now across the Internet for reasons I don't understand, rightwingers.

Nobody wants to prop up the board's other investments in commercial real estate and nobody has to care that they're losing their shirts either. Make big cities safe and clean and affordable again, or they will just rot away and collapse in on themselves. I've been reading about the terrible situation in commercial real estate especially in large cities which are unaffordable and crime-ridden, it sounds like there's no escape for the people who have their wealth trapped inside the walls of buildings nobody wants to visit.
