I can already see Lispers using "but Carmack uses it for VR stuff, therefore it's the best!" as an argument in language wars.

"James Clark uses it for SGML stuff, therefore it's the best!"

Of course James Clark is to markup languages as John Carmack is to games, or Jesus Christ is to religion. ;)
