I can relate to this. I left San Francisco a few weeks ago and moved to South Carolina. I love software development, and I'm not sure if I can trade it for anything at this point and time in my life. I'm currently working remotely from South Carolina and in the search for a nice house with some land, so I can live a bit more rural while still being able to do what I love.
