I meant to say that USA is probably the only country in the world with the road network of that magnitude and quality, which can enable the use of RV's. I live in Russia: our country is big, but the roads are not that well developed and the good ones are rare. And you need a serious off-road vehicle if you hope to go around the whole country (renowned designer Artemy Lebedev tried to do it and his Land Cruiser turned out to be not serious enough [1]).
To think of it, maybe you can go around Europe in RV? The thing I meant to say, RV only make sense in large country with good well-developed road network, of which there are not many.
