Exactly. If they really wanted to wow the world they would have figured out how to make a more accessible electric vehicle that has a range long enough for the average person to consider buying.

I usually don't drive very much but when I do it tends to be 6 or 7 hours (I drove for 9 hours yesterday) - so I'd actually be fine with a "normal" long distance car and a wee electric town car like the Renault Twizy - which is really cheap as well - but odd looking, but maybe that's the price of being revolutionary:
