A little off topic but would love to know more about the platform/tech behind his site. My casual observations sees: Azure, New Relic, FB/Twitter integrations. Perhaps some scss/sass? Ruby or .Net?
The actual letter site is built with .NET MVC and a lot of fancy JS/SASS/etc. deployed to Azure. It fits into an ecosystem of other more complex components (Akamai, CMS, proxies, etc.).
PC reading, I've not tried it on mobile, but I always enjoy the layout / setup of the Gates Notes. Very clear to read and navigate.
