And remember that it was the refusal of major Weimar parties to allow any discussion of aggressive reform and relief measures that lead to the rise of German Nazi and Communist parties in the 1930s. It's all self-inflicted wounds from the fundamentally illiberal ruling intellectual and bureaucratic class of the country.
