I don't use them. I like having someone whose office I can sit in and very politely refuse to leave until things work out to everyone's satisfaction.

Ally is a bank and regulated as one, even though they're 'online'. Coinbase is not regulated as a bank. They're not even regulated under the much looser guidelines of a money transmitter.
