I tend to type `gi tpull` instead of `git pull`, so I put this small thing into my .bashrc:

    function gi {
        first=$1;
        shift;
        first=${first/#t/};
        git "$first" "$@";
    }

(My bash-fu is very limited, but it seems to work).

Or use zsh, which will do something like this globally.
