I don't find it that honest to require $39.72 from your customers that pays with EUR, and $29.99 from customers that pays with USD.

Steam does the same.

Taxes are included and they apply to customers within the EU. If you convert $29.99 to EUR and add the required taxes you get 29.99€ almost exactly.

This should probably be mentioned somewhere!

As well, know that as a EU buyer, if I buy from you in $, the VAT still applies.

Thank you. We will explain this somewhere. About the VAT and currency, at this moment we decide the currency based on your location. So if you are a EU-based company we will charge the price in €.

Apple does it, and it seems to work fine for them.

I'm buying my Apple devices from the US. I live in Europe. It's that irritating :)

USD prices don't include VAT but EUR prices do though
