Sadly, some people have found they're much more interested in the tabloid like drama of the situation than the technical/privacy implications. At least articles discussing the later are in good taste, even if some border on repetitive.
In regards to Snowden, these aren't leaks but whistleblowing on worldwide privacy and human rights violations.
Agreed. I just used both terms interchangeably. English isn't my first language :)
