Had you looked at the front page in the past hour you would have seen the original article (and if you looked in the first page of the article you would see the reference)

I can appreciate your argument if the article weren't at the top page, but when this post was submitted the other post was on the front (and still is). This behavior reduces the diversity of the top page.
