I would take public lobbying anyday over outlawing it like where I live and it being restricted to people who have enough money to do it behind closed doors.

It is still done behind closed door, as much as it would be without lobbying. Lobbying is on top of that.

I think this is wrong. The fact that elon musk or israel was able to fund a public PAC in US transparently is a good thing rather than behind closed door, unlike how walmart did in developing countries like India and got caught.

You seem to be stuck in "either or" thinking instead of "and". In other words, the closed door meetings will happen either way. Transparency is performative.

No I am not, I am not claiming absolute transparency I have only mentioned it incentivises it, and that incentive is better than anti incentive, it's shades of gray.

They had also deals behind closed door. The public thing is on top of it and enables them to do a lot more. There are no additional poaitive incentives.

And practically, corruption got much worst after supreme court legalized more of it.

I would take the complete removal of meat-based politicians replaced with open-source AI with transparent training, weights, and a window into its decision/reasoning process open to the public at all times.

Why not just direct democracy? We have the tech to do it all, no need to give up agency to whoever makes the model.

In practice, there is very little difference, no point splitting hair saying coke is better than pepsi.

I would rather have the ability to do it rather than not on pure ideological grounds,furthermore not banning it incentivises transparency, you can see more of where the money is coming from for example in US democrats are funded by more aggregate donors.

Lobbying is corruption, and it's also pay to play. Noone gets anything good out of it.

Calling it corruption and outlawing it doesn't stop the power of money and elite circles, it rather prevents small aggregate firms from doing it and yes I would rather know if they received such donation from renault for same reason I would want to know if a climate study is funded by oil corp.

This doesn't make logical sense. Making something officially transparent doesn't do anything to prevent the closed door meetings that will inevitably always happen.

Fallacy of gray, there's shades to transparency.
