I guess your ctrl-C experience depends on which fingers you use to press those buttons? For me it's the other way around. cmd-C feels awkward to press and ctrl-c feels comfortable.

Thumb + index?

Pinky + index for control C etc

Also Pinky finger to crouch in Medal of Honor, etc :-)

Control has always been in the bottom left corner (until certain laptops started putting Fn there)

MacOS natively lets you remap the modifier keys, I have the Ctrl and Fn keys switched. It's input source dependent as well so I have it do this for the built-in keyboard only.

I will echo the other user. Pinky + index is far more comfortable on Windows keyboards than thumb + index on command + c on Macs.
