You will actually need to dig deep and order from some shady websites to get one in regular wood with a regular shape.

though I have ceiling fans in every habitable room already like 10 years (Westinghouse, it was just cheapest model with similar design (different lamp shade) as link above bought in Hornbach or Obi), tried 1st year in new flat without AC, but before 2nd summer installed AC everywhere, great combo to make AC more energy efficient, the best investment in Europe would be AC, no ceiling fan will help you alone when it's 35-40C in shadow
ceiling fan is great low cost easy to install investment for short term temperatures between 25-35C in shadow, for something like 33-35C+ for more than one week it's useless though
I don't really get the anti-AC fetish in some parts of Europe
It's mostly just bitter renters. Floor units suck, and you can't get the awesome window units that people in America have, because vertical sliding windows are uncommon. If you own your own property, the best investment you can get would be a mini-split AC/heat pump. Not only does it cool you in summer, but it provides very cheap heating in the winter.
