This is like one country seizing the land of your country and your response being "Stop whining and ask your govt to defend". America (continent, word, anything) doesn't belong to the USA.

Why does it matter to you what America calls itself? Serious, good faith question. India tried to change its name to Bharat, everyone still calls it India.

how are they seizing anything at all? .gov is a US tld. nothing is stopping canada from doing america.ca.

Words don't belong to anyone. That's because they're words. What matters is how people use language and how they understand them.
