To be fair, American wine, probably undeservedly, doesn’t seem to have much appeal in Europe. There’s still a strong perception that wine should be either French or Italian, and anything else tends to be (again undeservedly) frowned upon.
Fine if you're not a fan of American whiskies or bourbon but it's a strange take to generalize it all as low quality..
