There've been many holocausts throughout history - after the WW2 one, people started studying them more closely and came up with the more scientific term "genocide", which means the same thing. Nothing in the definition says that one couldn't be perpetuated by a group that happens to be Jewish.

Comparing Israel to the Nazis and the treatment of the Palestinians to the Holocaust has been a standard piece of rhetoric for many decades before October 7, it’s not new at all. October 7 was just the natural expression of such hatred, just killing as many Israelis as possible in as brutal a fashion as possible.

Basically the kind of rhetoric and hatred you’re describing is not a result of October 7, October 7 is precisely the ultimate expression of it.

We’re basically just taking about the human capacity and tendency towards evil. This is just a fact of life to be dealt with, there is no solution to it.
