Where did you get your adult? Not that I’d want one, mind you, adults are nasty and boring. Just wanted to know :)

My guess is that the GP is a native German speaker and got confused with the false friend to become ≠ bekommen (to get).

It’s okay, no need to explain, even Germans have a right to be funny sometimes :)
