Less housing supply means higher rents... so single family zoning disproportionately harms poor people.
This is a big deal, because rent is the biggest factor to the avg person's cost of living.
Doesn't matter if you increase the housing supply but replace the demand with one of a higher real estate tier. "Oh no all these $300k houses were knocked down to make $800k condos. But on the bright side consider how much higher the supply will be!"
