In usability studies, it’s not uncommon for users to report they are faster at doing things one way, but actually timing them they were faster doing those things a different way, which they thought was slower.

So I don’t know about your particular set up. But maybe a usability researcher will come up with a way of working that’s more productive or efficient than what you’re doing now.
