The dock is bad and stupid, I can’t read application titles or window titles. And, if I have multiple windows of the same app I have to hover. That sucks.
The app drawer thingy also wastes space out the wazoo for basically nothing. It looks… okay though. Except the KDE menu also shows you applications plus much more, in about 1/5th the amount of screen space.
But let’s look at the applications. Oh, more of the same. Vague icons that eat into the main content of the apps. But don’t worry, behind those 3 submenus we get… nothing? Oh yeah, gnome apps have basically the minimal amount of features. I’m glad we’re wasting submenus on submenus for zero features.
You would think with how feature stripped and barebones gnome and its apps are it would be fast and light. But no, KDE is both faster and uses less memory. And that’s KDE, don’t even bother comparing to light desktops like XFCE or LxQt.
