With mass shootings, the stats matter a lot. When it comes to things that come to mind for most of us when we hear the words "mass shooting" - like some guy taking a gun and letting loose at a school, most of the perpetrators are indeed whites, as far as I know. But we also hear a lot of "there's a mass shooting or school shooting every day", and for those, the criteria are typically something like someone started shooting, multiple people (often a very small number) got hurt/killed, and that count ends up including a ton of black-on-black gang warfare.
