There is one benefit that Jev has, that it is not OpenAI and thus it's probably less likely to steal your own work.

> that it is not OpenAI

For now. Any company that grows to OpenAI/Anthropic's size and gets VC money is ought to become greedy.

Or OpenAI just buys them outright. Buying your upstart competitor seems to be in the Silicon Valley Ten Commandments. The Fed whussed-out on breaking up FB and Insta last year, so there's never going to be any kind of remediation to worry about.

And for Jev, everyone has a price, and OpenAI's raised an historical amount of funding.

Not steal, but keep it indefinitely, per the JEV TOS

They absolutely need ZDR

At this point, we shouldn't trust company even with ZDR.

I have been told that ZDR is available upon manual request.

I can confirm, I sent their sales team an email asking for ZDR, and they provided it within an hour.

Enterprise I thought.

Or use it through Vercel [0] with per call zdr.

Every company would use your data and "steal" it at some point. VC money would demand it the moment the pressure is up.

This is a tired argument that needs actual evidence to go beyond the level of a conspiracy theory.

TIL the terms of service are a conspiracy theory.

Which clause? For instance openrouter lists openai as "Logs: this provider may retain prompts, but does not use them for training."

https://openrouter.ai/openai/gpt-6-astra#providers

Why would we be talking about model routers in the context of it being a conspiracy theory that OpenAI is ingesting data from users for training? Are you acting obtuse or do you genuinely not reading/following the conversation?

They are all very open about it. It's likely the reason why the frontier labs are ok paying many more dollars a person in compute than they receive as revenue on subscription users for now.

Here is OpenAIs page

https://openai.com/policies/how-your-data-is-used-to-improve...

>When you share your content with us, it helps our models become more accurate and better at solving your specific problems

And as a bonus here is anthropics saying the same thing

https://privacy.claude.com/en/articles/10023580-is-my-data-u...

Especially if you're doing something in a very sparsely populated part of their latent space it just makes sense that it would get used. Their biggest problem getting solved at the moment is going beyond what common crawl enables.

I await the standard goal post moving.

If it's in the TOS, and your settings, and they have pages describing it, and it's the reason they're willing to subsidize your usage, and in your own words "they are all very open about it", then how exactly are they "stealing your work" here, which was the original point about this being a conspiracy theory?

Because most people assume that when they say "we will use your data to improve things" that it means "improve your experience" not "we will steal your non-public ideas and use our subsidised compute to scoop your work and say we did it for press releases and then conduct a weird flail of PR smokescreens and threats when the lie falls apart".

Its quite obviously about good/bad faith use of user data.
