Its written like it's making a praiseworthy point, but mostly comes across as luddites.

You use the word luddites as a pejorative, but don’t substantiate why that is the case. What’s the actual issue?

From the OED. The predominant use of "Luddite" has been disparaging for a long time.

You can debate whether it should be or not, but it's not reasonable to criticize conventional use.

Fair callout, I think more to the point of the parent poster and to what I intended to ask - why is it a bad thing if people want to code by hand.
