Yes, I know its real news. I am speaking to the title. It's always "The Houthis did this" or "Houthi-controlled areas do X".

They need to just stop promoting alternative facts and call it Yemen.

The Al Jazeera headline is "Houthis hail operation as they take over Red Sea coastline". An explainer further down is "Houthis capture Yemeni town of Mocha: Why it’s important".

All three headlines seem pretty neutral, no?

If, as you desire, we wrote that Yemen captured the island, who did they capture it from? Not-Yemen? That's just confusing for a civil war.

News media generally report the de iure situation, not the de facto situation. And de iure, Yemen still has a regular government, and the Houthi are a bunch of rebels.
