My Mach-E came with CrossClimate2 tires and I am not impressed. I've accidentally lit up all 4 tires under hard acceleration on a dry road, despite 5000 lbs pushing them into the ground and some amount of traction control still active.
I have a lighter sports car making similar power, on Michelin Pilot 4S summer tires. That car just grips and goes with barely a squeal. Good summer tires also have far better wet performance than CC2s, and they provide better feedback.. you feel more planted and in control.
I am impressed overall with the CC2's ability to be a true all-rounder that is usable in snow, but it is still an exercise in trade-offs and it'll never be as good as any purpose-built tire is at its purpose.
