That's the same argument used for banning video games. By killing monsters on the screen you somehow become more violent in real life. Which is comlete bullshit

The difference being that sexuality is typically considered an innate desire, whilst the desire to commit violence is not.

Monkey see. Monkey do. Nothing surprising here. Once people decide to do something then they model their actions on what they've seen. Even for such innate and strong desires. So completely hands off approach, leaving it to market forces, might not be the best course of action. But banning doesn't seem like a golden bullet either.

Those monsters are virtual ie not real. The people harmed by this are real breathing human beings.

I stated it already several times in this thread: my question is not about deepfakes, I can clearly see how those can be harmful. I'm talking about pure computer-generated content, not based on existing people
