If the Sun is 100% offline then we're all dead anyway.

Generally we can rely on there being a day though. Can even predict sunrise and sunset.

When i go outside, sometimes there are clouds between the Sun and myself

When I go outside on a cloudy day I can still see clearly because there's still electromagnetic radiation from the Sun reaching the Earth.

Is that your way of saying that solar panels work when it’s cloudy? A bit of a daft comment.

Utility companies:

We don't want to do solar or wind because it's too much of a bother to the adapter grid for it.

Okay fine. We'll put it on residential solar so they don't even need the utility company most of the time

Utility company: please don't allow that government

I'm pretty sure residential solar is harder for a utility to handle that commercial/utility-scale. Residential solar was a silly thing to prioritize, given the other options. I mean, it's overall good, but given the (in)competency of the utilities and the state of the grid, we'd be much better off we hadn't been idiots about nuclear for 50 years.
