Geothermal is a big deal in Norway as well.

We have about 99% hydro power, Iceland is the geothermal county.

But there is also plenty of oil to run the backup generators...

Hydro is quite stable. I don’t think Norway is burning oil for power. Natural gas would be better but still, probably not required.
