I was going to buy the Mario Kart Switch 2 bundle but ultimately cancelled my pre-order. The price tag was just too rich for what I was getting. I could afford it but the price/value just wasn't good enough. I'm making the same decisions at the grocery store.

I did get a Switch 2 and there's not really much going on in the way of new games to be getting excited about. Nintendo is really hyping up THPS3+4, which is a port of 2 games I first played before my kids were born, grew up and graduated college. As far as console launches go the line-up is historically disappointing.

I got the Switch 2. I played Mario Kart for maybe 20 minutes. I then spent probably 80 hours so far replaying BotW. The phone app is pretty handy once all the main stuff is done and you’re just looking to collect Koroks and get to 100%. It’s not new, but it’s so much smoother that it kind of felt like a different game. I don’t have any real regrets, but I also just like exploring Hyrule. My Switch one was basically just a Zelda machine 98% of the time.

Once I finish my replays of BotW and TotK I’ll probably give Cyberpunk a try (never played it), and by the time that’s all done I figure there will be some more releases. If not, I might try revisiting some of my other games I haven’t played in a long time. I’m hoping the 007 game next year is good, I had a great time with the N64 and GameCube Bond games.
