What are you guys using for RAG? I noticed OpenAI's embeddings struggle a bit with retrieval of specialized material. Is there anything better?

I haven't used RAG yet, but OpenAI's embeddings are pretty far behind AFAIK. Gemini has the SOTA in embeddings right now.
