Since you've continued to use HN primarily for political battle after we asked you to stop, I've banned the account.

(This is not a comment on your specific politics or which celebrities or companies or causes you're battling. We don't care about that. We care about preserving this site for its intended purpose, which is not this.)

dang, by all means, point out and detail the "political" content of this article.

I'm still waiting. If you can't articulate what's "political" about the article then what you can do is admit your mistake and apologize to me.

You have the opportunity to show some integrity here, dang. Take it.

I'm talking about the overall pattern of your posts, which is so obviously political battle that I'm surprised you would try to deny it.

Below is a small sample. This is excessive and abusive, and since you ignored our repeated requests to stop abusing HN in this way, we banned you.

We've been seeing human-form robots dancing and walking, even running and jumping, all kinds of stuff for how many years now? It's to the point that a video of a robot moving around on a mostly-empty concrete floor in a big industrial building is so boring that posting one as if it's impressive reads as parody, practically no matter what the robot is doing.

Are any of these companies delivering an actual product to paying customers yet? Is a single one making money on these kinds of things? I really don't know, but surely that would have made at least as big a splash in the news as all the videos of them doing choreographed dances or whatever for the last, god, what, almost 20 years (how long ago were those Japanese [Honda?] ones the Internet loved back in the day?) did?

My thinking is that if movable robots were useful, then we would see centaur robots. Instead of spending effort making it walk on two legs, they could spend time making the arms work for useful tasks.

For factory tasks, which have flat floors, don't need legs but wheels would be fine. Most factory tasks would be fine with fixed robots that can be pushed around to stations.

I know that "DogeDesigner" is a Elon-stan account, but I hadn't compared Optimus's 2022 introduction vs its 2025 demo, and seeing it side-by-side is very...uh...underwhelming? And that's just walking — I assume if Optimius were able to attempt autonomous servicing of various factory tasks, we'd be seeing that footage in full.

Let's see it sit down in front of a computer and type really fast like Data on Star Trek.

Wow. Managed to find a post critical of Elon which isn't [flagged] yet. Incoming in 3,2,1,...

It's like a clock :-))

As of this moment TSLA has hit 280.75, up 4.66% on the day so far. Nothing sus.

That’s likely more due to Trump giving Musk the heave: https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2025/04/02/trump-musk...
